What is Welcome Day?

Posted on June 20, 2019.

Welcome Day, the day that all the students come with butterflies, wondering what new adventures are in store for them. Welcome Day is my favorite day of the quarter. You get to see so many new faces that come from across the world. I’m going to give you a little sneak peek into what that day looks like.

When you arrive at the campus with all of your luggage, there are YWAM Denver team members waiting to help you find your room and show you around. Once you find your room, you have the opportunity to choose your bed and get all settled into your space. After settling in, grab your passport and head to the Bridge Cafe for registration. This will help us get to know you better; you’ll end your registration with a photo, so make sure to look your best. These pictures are printed and posted in our dining hall for the rest of your school.

Afterward, feel free to meet your fellow students, the staff, and explore YWAM Denver. Following dinner, we have Welcome Night. We start with worship and introduce all of our team members and students.  Welcome Night ends with a reception in the Bridge Cafe.

Welcome Day is just day one; ahead are encounters with the Lord, challenges, and new levels of faith. As your YWAM Denver family, we are so excited to walk with you through this new season of your life.
